Summary
The ideal MiCAL Shift Supervisor is a Michigan licensed mental health professional with leadership experience who works fully remote leading a team of crisis responders. If you are self-disciplined to work from home and wish to utilize your clinical expertise to lead a group of dynamic and compassionate crisis hotline workers, we invite you to apply!
All new MiCAL Shift Supervisors will participate in a virtual 96-hour Crisis Intervention Training program to ensure they are set up for success in the role.
Day in the Life
- Oversee daily MiCAL operation, all MiCAL Crisis Specialists, and MiCAL Service Coordinators on shift
- Monitor calls, chats and/or texts of a varying crisis nature
- Ensure call handling and time compliance
- Verify all documentation is complete and accurate
- Provide accurate and available resources for the Crisis Specialists as needed
- Work closely with community resources
- Develop the plan of care in collaboration with the individual/family and other community members (if appropriate)
- Provide support to Crisis Specialists and Service Coordinators as needed

What you need to apply
- Permanent year-round Michigan residency
- Master's degree in a Human Services field
- Professional licensure in the State of Michigan
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Crisis Services
- Minimum 1 year of leadership experience
- Experience with persons with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorder
- Standard met for Mental Health Professional and Child Mental Health Professional
- At-home high speed internet on a private network
- A private, HIPAA compliant, dedicated office space
